Welcome to the Columbia Bottom Conservation Area Web site

The Conservation Department purchased this 4,318 acre area in 1997 to create an urban conservation area. The area includes a view of the confluence of Missouri's largest rivers, over 6.5 miles of river frontage, 800 acres of forest and a 110 acre island.

Columbia Bottom Conservation Area - Dove Hunt Application


Notice

The majority of Columbia Bottom Conservation Area is temporarily closed due to flooding. The Visitor Center remains open during regular business hours but the roads and trails into the conservation area are inundated by flood water and will be closed until the flood waters recede and repairs can be made.

The Columbia Bottom area includes a view of the confluence of Missouri's largest rivers, over 6.5 miles of river frontage, 800 acres of forest, and 3300 acres of cropland.

Area Hours:

Columbia Bottom Conservation Area is closed from one half hour after sunset until one half hour before sunrise daily except for authourized hunting and fishing activities and launching and landing boats.

Directions: To reach the area, go north approximately 2.8 miles from the I-270 Riverview Drive exit. Riverview Drive becomes Columbia Bottom Road at its intersection with Larimore Road.
