The area consists of 42 acres of prairie located within the Schell-Osage Conservation Area west of Taberville on Hwy Y. El Dorado Springs North 7.5 min. topographic map. Some of these areas are difficult to find and require walk-in access. Others are along county roads. Designated April 17, 1975.

Natural Features

Five separate tracts, ranging from 3.5 to 15 acres each, with buffer land that is being managed to restore its prairie quality. Although these areas are small, they are important remnants of the prairie that once existed in the Osage Plains Natural Division.
