Bona Glade Natural Area

A 20-acre portion of the Stockton Lake Project located one mile west of Bona on Hwy 215 in the SE1/4, SE1/4 of Section 32, T33N, R25W, Bona 7.5 min. topographic map. Designated February 16, 1979.

Natural Features--A sandstone glade in the Springfield Plateau Section of the Ozark Natural Division with a population of the stateendangered plant Geocarpon minimum. Other glade plants include Nuttall's sedum, widows cross, fame flower, rushfoil and pineweed. Bona Glade is owned and managed by the Kansas City District, U.S. Army Corp of Engineers.
