Wolf Bayou Natural Area

A 200-acre portion of the Wolf Bayou Conservation Area in Sections 3 and 4, T19N, R13E, and Section 34, T20N, R13E, Stanley 7.5 min. topographic map. This aquatic area is located about nine miles southeast of Portageville off Hwy BB. Designated June 27, 1972.

Natural Features--An oxbow lake carved by the Mississippi River, an adjoining cypress forest and small areas of bottomland forest with associated plants and animals in the Mississippi Lowlands Natural Division. The area is owned by the Department of Conservation.
