A.J. visits swamps to fish, hunt, birdwatch, hike, and look for reptiles. He spends his spare time recreating ancient spear throwers and drawing.
contributor image Mitch Jayne lives in Eminence. He and his illustrator wife, Diana, recently published a book of Ozark humor title, "Home Grown Stories and Home Fried Lies." He says the book encouraged them to return to the Ozarks "to live again with the folks I write about. The back porch view of five mountain ridges tells me I'm home at last."
contributor image Larry Rizzo is a natural history biologist with the Conservation Department. He enjoys ecological restoration work, especially when it takes place in the unlikely realm of a large city. In his spare time, Larry's outdoor interests include canoeing, hunting, fishing and birding. A native Kansas Citian, he still lives near that city with his wife, Kathleen.
