Deer Cam
About the project (from Missouri Outdoors)
What's the best way to learn about an animal's behavior? Jane Goodall, the world's foremost chimpanzee authority, knows the answer to that question--"Live with it." But most scientists can't spend their lives eating, sleeping, drinking and traveling with the subjects of their research.
The solution? Send in a video camera. A team of Missouri scientists, including two MDC wildlife biologists, has done just that. After mounting two small cameras on a captive deer, they've collected footage that gives them insight into a deer's habits and survival choices.
