Downy Serviceberry
Amelanchier arborea 
Serviceberry is found throughout most of Missouri in open or rocky woods. The showy white flowers are among the first of the early spring trees and shrubs to bloom. The showy flowers, purplish berries and gold fall color make serviceberry an attractive landscape tree.
