This publication is intended to help those interested in the future of Missouri's wetlands. The authors are grateful to several of the Department's staff and those in related agencies for contributing important sections to this publication. Dave Erickson wrote the section on furbearers, James Rathert wrote the section on shorebirds and provided most of the photographs, and Dr. Leigh Fredrickson and staff of the University of Missouri's Gaylord Laboratory wrote the section on invertebrates and helped in manuscript preparation. Sketches were provided by Mark Raithel, David Besenger, and the late Charles Schwartz. Regina Troyer designed the publication and Tom Cwynar edited the manuscript.
