BACIDIA De Not.
Bacidia sp. #1 [sensu Harris (1977)] - as pointed out by
Harris (1995a), these reports are tentatively referred to Bacidina egenula.
Bacidia bagliettoana (A. Massal. & De Not.) Jatta Ladd et al. (1994): Atchison Co. Note: this species was also cited from Saline Co. by Gier & Jones (1954) [as B. muscorum] and Gier & Kendrick (1972). The specimen on which these reports are based, Jones 16 (MCJ), is Bacidina egenula.
Bacidia "chlorococcea" [
Scoliciosporum chlorococcum (Stenh.) Vezda] cited from Newton Co. by Gier & Kendrick (1972). This report is apparently based on a packet at MCJ, #10973, but this packet is empty!

Wetmore (1992b): Newton Co.
Bacidia granosa (Tuck.) Zahlbr.

Fink (1935) [as Bacidia luteola].
Gier & Jones (1954): literature report [as Bacidia luteola].
Gier & Kendrick (1972): literature report.
Wetmore (1992a): Taney Co. Note: this species is also cited from Newton Co. by Wetmore (1992b), probably based on Wetmore 69245 (NY), which is B. polychroa. The Wetmore (1992a) report from Taney Co. may also referable to B. polychroa, which appears to be the common element in this group in Missouri.
Bacidia schweinitzii (Fr. ex E. Michener) A. Schneid.
Fink (1919).
Gier & Kendrick (1972): literature report.
Bacidia suffusa (Fr.) A. Schneid.

Biatora russellii
Psora russellii; see Psora pseudorussellii.
Biatorella fossarum [
Biatorella hemisphaerica for North American reports] - cited from Cole Co. by Berry (1937); this forms the basis for the literature report in Gier & Kendrick (1972). No confirming specimens have been located. Given the notorious inaccuracy of Berry's determinations, the species must at present be excluded from the Missouri flora. Magnusson (1934) cites specimens from Illinois, adding credibility to the possible occurrence of this species in Missouri.
Biatorella pruinosa
Sarcogyne regularis
Biatorella simplex
Polysporina simplex
Bryoria furcellata - reported from St. Louis Co. by Brodo & Hawksworth (1977), based on an Engelmann collection deposited at US. Careful examination of the somewhat confusing label data on the specimen reveals that it was collected in Bayfield, Wisconsin.
Buelia punctata [sensu AES (1986)] ¸ Amandinea punctata
BUELLIA De Not.
Buellia sp. MBG (1974a, 1974b): Salt River basin.

Buellia curtisii (Tuck.) Imshaug
Imshaug (1951): Butler Co.
Buellia disciformis - reported from Washington Co. by Berry (1937) [as B. parasema]; this presumably forms the basis for the literature report in Gier & Kendrick (1972). Imshaug (1951) states that North American specimens of this taxon have been badly confused. Since no confirming specimens have been located, the species is excluded from the Missouri flora. Several early midwestern collections determined as B. parasema are referable to Amandinea punctata.
