CONSERVATION ACTION
News of the February 22, 2002 Conservation Commission meeting

The Conservation Commission held a special conference call meeting at 11:45 a.m., Friday, February 22, 2002 at the Department's Headquarters in Jefferson City, Missouri. The following Commissioners participated:

Anita B. Gorman, Kansas City
Stephen C. Bradford, Cape Girardeau
Cynthia Metcalfe, St. Louis

The next meeting of the Conservation Commission is set for March 7, 2002, at Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center, Kirkwood, Missouri.

Commission meetings are open to the public. Those wishing to be placed on the agenda for a presentation or other business must send a written request to Director, Department of Conservation, P. O. Box 180, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0180, or FAX (573) 751-4467, at least 10 working days before the meeting date. The Commission heard the following presentations:

ADMINISTRATION: The Commission also took the following action:

  1. The Commission approved the comment letter to the United States Army Corps of Engineers regarding the Missouri River Master Manual.
