The Conservation Commission met Jan. 22 and 23 at Empire Bank in Marshfield. Commissioners present were:

The next meeting of the Conservation Commission was set for March 12 at St. Charles.

JAN. 22:

The Commission met with the Southwest Regional Landowners Council to discuss subjects of mutual interest. Following the informal meeting, the Commission held a closed executive session.

REGULATIONS:

The Commission approved changes to the policy regarding field trials on conservation areas. These changes clarify responsibilities as they relate to federal interests in Conservation Department lands, with no impact on the way the Department currently manages field trials.

ADMINISTRATION:

The Commission voted to:

• Accept a donation of 5.8 acres in Jefferson County from the Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation as an addition to Hilda Young Conservation Area.
• Suspend or revoke all hunting and fishing privileges of 17 Missouri residents for Wildlife Code violations. Those whose privileges were suspended are:

• Approve the suspension or revocation of all hunting and fishing privileges of 52 Missouri residents and one out-of-state resident who are not in compliance with applicable child support laws.
• Suspend or revoke Missouri hunting and fishing privileges of Moberly residents Arnold Hoch and Randall Hoch, and 206 residents of other states in accordance with the terms of the Interstate Wildlife Violator Compact.
• Name an area recently acquired from LaBelle City the LaBelle Lake Conservation Area.
• Transfer public outreach responsibility for Grow Native! program from Private Lands Division to Outreach and Education Division.
