• Eldon Kreisel, Show-Me Missouri Back Country Horsemen, discussed equestrian use of conservation areas and the Ozark Trail
• Douglas Flannery, Whitewater, Missouri, discussed management of Duck Creek Conservation Area.
• The Commission presented 2,000-hour Volunteer Service Awards to Karen Staloch, Marvin Staloch and Dick Baumann for service at August A. Busch Memorial Conservation Area.
• The Commission presented 30- year Employee Service Awards to Dennis Steward, Duane Parker, Ken Drenon, Michael Martin, Bill Kohne, Michael Loe and Patti Moeller.
• The Commission presented 25-year Employee Service Awards to--John Schulz, Darrell Bennett, Roger Luebbert, Larry Siedenburg, Russell Mueller, Ed Kuhlmann, Lynn Barnickol, David Platt, Gary Taylor, Frieda Fischer, Ralph Duren, Virginia Wallace, Steve Spezia, Edward Higdon, Lynn McClamroch, Terry Roberson, Donald Rusicka, William Stimson, John Thomas, Darrell Walden, Steven Cooper and Steven Theiss.
• The Commission reviewed a No More Trash! public service announcement that won top honors from the National Association of Government Communicators

• Changing turkey hunting regulations to require hunters to leave turkeys' heads in place and keep the plumage intact until the birds are checked or registered.
• Changing the opening date of youth spring turkey hunting season in some years. The youth season still will open nine days before the opening day of the regular spring turkey season most years. However, when this would cause the youth season to overlap Easter, the youth season will open the Saturday prior to Easter weekend.
• Requiring hunters to wear hunter orange clothing during the urban portion of firearms deer season.

• Accepted a bid of $5,313,495 from Bleigh Construction Co., Hannibal, for construction of the Northeast Region Education and Service Center in Adair County.
• Accepted a bid of $1,402,000 from Sircal Construction, Inc., Jefferson City, for construction of the Sedalia Office and Shop/Storage Building in Pettis County.
• Approved reclassification of Conservation Department personnel.
• Approved the purchase of 17.45 acres in Boone County as an addition to Eagle Bluffs Conservation Area
• Accepted a donation of 12 acres for an access on the St. Francis River in Butler County.
• Suspended or revoked hunting and/or fishing privileges of 20 Missouri residents and four nonresidents for Wildlife Code violations. Those whose privileges were suspended are:

• Approved the suspension or revocation of all hunting and fishing privileges of 92 Missouri residents who are not in compliance with applicable child support laws.
