The Conservation Commission met June 28 and 29 at Conservation Department headquarters in Jefferson City.
Commissioners present were:

The Conservation Commission set its next meeting for Aug. 9 and 10 in Jefferson City.
PRESENTATION
Commission meetings are open to the public. Those wishing to be placed on the agenda for a presentation or other business must send a written request to Director, Department of Conservation, P.O. Box 180, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0180, or FAX (573) 751-4467, at least 10 working days before the meeting date. The deadline for the next meeting is July 26.
The Commission received presentations from:
- Gary Balk, Nevada, and Harold Caskey, Butler, concerning Four Rivers Conservation Area, Vernon and Bates counties.
- Chesterfield City Council Member Jane Durrell concerning the Conservation Department's mission and Beckemeier Conservation Area in St. Louis County.
- Wildlife Division Chief Dave Erickson with an update on the "Every Member Draws" waterfowl hunting drawing procedure.
- Outreach and Education Division Chief Lorna Domke with an update on the External Communication Project.
ADMINISTRATION
The Commission took the following action:
- Approved entering into a contract with Leath & Sons, Inc. of Raytown, the low bidder for construction of the Blind Pony Fish Hatchery Aeration System Project in Saline County at a cost of $265,252.
- Approved the exchange of 1 acre of LaBarque Creek Conservation Area in Jefferson County for a .889 acre parcel adjacent to the area.
- Approved accepting a donation of 20 acres in DeKalb County.
- Approved responses to resolutions adopted by the Conservation Federation of Missouri at its annual meeting March 18.
- Suspended all sport hunting and fishing privileges of 12 Missouri residents and one nonresident for Wildlife Code violations. Those whose privileges were suspended are:

- Suspended or revoked all hunting and fishing privileges of 171 Missouri residents and two nonresidents who are not in compliance with applicable child support laws.
- Suspended the hunting and fishing privileges of 67 nonresidents and one Missouri resident under the provisions of the Interstate Wildlife Violator Compact.
- Suspended the hunting privileges of one Missouri resident for one year for injuring another person in a firearms-related hunting incident.
