Learn More, Do More, Enjoy More

If inexperience is keeping you from enjoying Missouri's great outdoors, Missouri Outdoor Women (MOW) program is for you. It's designed to give women 14 years and older the skills and confidence to pursue a wide range of outdoor activities alone, with friends or with their families.

Missouri's annual, statewide MOW weekend-long event, usually held at the Windermere Conference Center in Roach, Missouri, allows women the opportunity to sample four of the many 3.5 hour workshops offered.

Regional MOW events occur throughout the year, allowing you to participate in a MOW workshop almost any time. Many of these events are hunts that include in-depth clinics addressing natural history of the wildlife, relevant regulations, firearm training and safety, specific hunting method training and cleaning and care of the game. One Dalton Range MOW pheasant hunt concluded several weeks after the hunt date with a taxidermy workshop using the participants' harvested pheasants.
